Souvankham Thammavongsa is the author of four poetry books. Her first story collection, "How to Pronounce Knife", is published by Little, Brown, and named one of the New York Times “7 Books to Watch for in April.” Her stories have won an O. Henry Award and has appeared in Harper’s, the Paris Review, the Atlantic, and other places. She was born in the Lao refugee camp in Nong Khai, Thailand and lived in Toronto.

Souvankham will be reading excerpts from her upcoming book and be in conversation. There will be a short Q+A at the end.
